The Khasneh at Petra. One of the most breath-taking sites in the world. The Khasneh was used at the end of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as the home of the holy grail. Sadly there was no elderly crusader waiting for me when we got there, but the Khasneh itself more than made up for it.
Photo by me obviously...otherwise I wouldn't be posting it.
I don't remember when I first learned of Petra, but it's been on my list of places to visit, not so much to "see" as to "experience" at some point in my life. Like the sands of time were scuplted by the winds of time into a physical immortality. I can only imaging the feeling of the presense of the "place spirit" that resides here.
It is definately well worth the experience. I'd love to go back and spend a week there so I can take it all in better, there's so many moments that take your breath away that it's a shame to have to see them all so quickly.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
